    What do you hope to see out of GNOME 3.30?
    - Better animation performance.
    - Blur effects.

      yep... please for the love of god improve gnome's performance.

      I really want to like gnome, I do.

      but it feels like I'm running a desktop being emulated in a web browser

        Epiphany will never automatically open downloads now since "it can't be done safely."
        Ironic, considering that pirate torrents (which could be dangerous) have magnet links (which I'm assuming wouldn't be covered by this change, being a protocol) while Humble Bundles (which are curated, safe content) only offer you .torrent files, which you now can't automatically open in your torrent client with a single click.

          If it feels like running inside a browser that's because it almost actually is; it runs on Firefox's Javascript engine and it styles the UI using CSS.
