      It's very much within the realm of possibilities, but there's been no announcements to indicate that they're going to do anything along those lines. So put that into the "Quite possibly but no indications they will" box for now.

        Since their Ubuntu layer is about userspace ABI compability with Linux, but not kABI, they won't offer this themselves through their WSL layer.

          This is a commercial product, so I use ext2fsd (which is opensource) and it works great, like using a native file system

              Never ever use anything created by Paragon. Their products tend to kill your data. Even their renowned defragmenter for some reasons replaces the original MBR with their own broken grub loader which then is unable to boot your system on reboot.

                ext2fsd has had full ext4 read/write for a while under Windows and I've never had any problems.

                    Paragon manage to have a poorly written NTFS driver for Linux and a poorly written extX driver for Windows... Both are very unstable IMHO! Once burnt...
