Phoronix: HAMMER2 File-System Picks Up Live Deduplication Support

Just a few days ago I was writing about DragonFlyBSD's HAMMER2 file-system maturing and now this weekend it's picked up another high profile feature: live deduplication...

HAMMER2 should be renamed HAMMERED2 because it was slammed over on the table and hammered brutally by both BTRFS and EXT4FS at the same time.

ReFS isn't production ready. M$ hasn't even deployed it on Windows 10. ReFS is the new prison bitch who has to bend over in exchange for protection. As simple as that.

Why does everything come down to anal rape with you? You're the one who has the Linux dick so far up your ass, it's hitting your eyeballs and blurring your vision.

The real question you must ask is why is it that virtually all aspect of BSD is analogous to anal rape. I'm serious.

The real question you must ask is why do you think that EXT4 is a good file system, despite is has an maximum Volume size of disgraceful 1 EB (and 16 TB recommended size maximum size).

The on-disk format of NTFS supports as much as 264 clusters (disk blocks blocks), which are 64 Zetabyte with 4KB blocks. The actual implementation of NTFS can use 256 TB, but M$ usually keeps features locked.
