    Some defenses are more effective than ASLR, but that's probably no excuse for enabling ASLR by default (and only for 64-bit executables) 17-18 years after Linux, 14-15 years after a full implementation of ASLR on OpenBSD (including PIE), etc.

      Better late than implementing it half-assedly & while giving false sense of security
