    >- As of writing the FreeBSD Foundation has only collected $167,348 in donations this year out of its goal to raise a minimum of at least $1,400,000 USD toward its $2M spending budget.

So what are they going to do missing $1,832,652?

What is with companies using FreeBSD like Sony, Apple, Netflix and Co.?! Why can't they together fill the gap?!

I guess that's the consequence of using the "liberal" BSD license. Others will take advantage of your work, but you'll get very little in return.

The BSD licenses do not obligate them to do either jack, or shit for that matter. This is not GPL.

My recollection is a lot of donations come in during the last quarter (for tax planning reasons), so while they may have some predictions (based on past years), you never know until Dec 31st what will actually make it into the coffers. You can scan the 2021 (and previous) list for the large corporate donations, some of which are likely to happen again in 2022.

That's what you get for using a cuck license. Sad!

I only got so far into the page where I realized that:

Procedure to handle GDPR deletion request

The Core Team has reviewed the procedure to handle GDPR deletions requests with help from Foundation lawysers. The document is currently being written and will be published after completion.
while they reviewed the procedure, they didn't review the statement stating the review.

                  Oh Jesus Christ:

                  New Privacy Policy

The Core Team is working closely with the FreeBSD Foundation to update the Privacy Policy to properly align with current laws and practices found on similar websites such as ours.
They're going to update their Privacy Policy to be in alignment with their Privacy Policy

You mean they want to update their Privacy Policy to be aligned with their Privacy Policy so that they can conform with their Privacy Policy which is currently a part of the Privacy Policy but not to the full extent of the Privacy Policy, which is the Privacy Policy that the Privacy Policy refers to when we're talking about the Privacy Policy?
