    It's good to see ext2/ext3/ext4 choices. The ability to use ext2 is extremely important.

      Let's recap: DragonFlyBSD had been forked from FreeBSD for performance reasons. Nowadays, FreeBSD is much faster than DragonFlyBSD! Why not spending the resources in FreeBSD again and porting HAMMER to FreeBSD?

        Besides the license conflict between BSD and GPL followers, Linux would be a much better choice.

          I'll not comment on performance comparison -- let's wait on Michael evaluation for it.

          But, HAMMER even HAMMER2 will bring you basically nothing in comparison with what you have in FreeBSD 13.0. E.g. ZFS still rocks and HAMMER2 is not able to reach feature parity with it yet.

                  Because in actual numbers 5.10 is the same as 5.1
