NetBSD 9 is shaping up to be a terrific release. Considering how much less manpower they have compared to FreeBSD or even OpenBSD. Having virtualization support to run other OSs like Linux in a VM, and ZFS seem like huge news. I wonder how NetBSD ZFS is going to compare to FreeBSD ZFS support?

Did some research myself: "Updated ZFS. This is the first release with ZFS usable for daily use, but there is no support for booting from ZFS nor using ZFS as root filesystem yet." You can set /boot on a traditional file system. It's better than running whole shebang from old FFS, I suppose. Difference with FreeBSD in regards of ZFS support is no great wonder, FreeBSD's has been there a decade+ (starting from 2007-2008?).
