    Not only automation software but DOS database applications like FoxPro are still being used a lot. I've observed that some airports use a DOS software for checking in which surprised me because I thought that they should use updated software with high security at those places. DOS is even more widely seen in various businesses, both inside and outside airports, when cashiers scan, check-out and print the bill with some DOS software. That's so sad

      The guy who runs my local non-chain used game shop still uses DOS for his airgapped point-of-sale system because it's just not cost-effective for him to upgrade. (On vintage hardware, including a pre-USB barcode scanner)
