    Does anyone know if they plan to switch to clang/libc++ as default system compiler? Should be better than an "ancient" gcc version.

      I would hope so long term. -current is using GCC 6. IMO there isn't much motivation to update to anything newer until the C++17 support is no longer considered experimental.
