Does Vulkan work on FreeBSD? How about Wine DXVK? I'd be curious to see if it's viable for Windows gaming.

If you want to play windows games, use windows for it. Less grief. Or you'd have to contend with game's own bugs (nearly all games, except for old&simplest, have some) + bugs appearing due emulation+performance loss. Not worth the effort. But that's me.

      EDIT: brief google query: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/d...-vulkan.60940/

Yes, but on drm-next i915 and amdgpu drivers only; several ports support a Vulkan backend already, including RPCS3 for PS3 games; see graphics/vulkan-loader

Should be viable for Direct3D 12 games only, see graphics/vkd3d; WoW64 support was committed to emulators/wine-devel some months ago, see review D1472
