I'm just wondering how long it takes until Microsoft sues everyone for re-implementing WinAPI using Google vs Oracle Java case as precedent.

I find that highly unlikely seeing as wine remains unscathed after over 2 decades and MS are trying hard to make friends with the open source communities.

ReactOS is already a success for me because there are applications that run in it in qemu/kvm which don't run properly in wine. Caligari trueSpace is better in ReactOS than on WINE.
