      After reading win 10 Microsoft's new terms of service I cannot imagine myself using win 10 much longer.

        And no, we do not recommend disabling anti-malware, nor excluding your distro folder(s). We are working various aspects of disk IO perf and have improvements being investigated and/or fixes queued up for implementation over the next few Windows releases. Bear with us.
