Never heard of it but after looking at it for a few seconds, likely useless for my cases... Not sure if this software works if wanting to VT switch as I often do? And then also would still need to manually connect a keyboard if wanting to access the BIOS/UEFI or GRUB as is also common. Thanks anyhow for suggestion. Also that I frequently reload OS installs like multiple times a week on my non-main system, so would be a hassle reloading that too.

Michael , I would really want to know how you find the energy to do all this. It would actually be very interesting if you can try to measure the amount of coffee you drink in one week. I am actually starting to be a bit concerned that you chew other stuff as well to stay awake. Do you sleep at all?

But semi-serious jokes aside , there is something called Bosh Rexroth (and a bunch of copycats) out there that I think you may like. That is very convenient if you want to build anything basically. All you have to do is purchase some profiles, cut them and then simply screw them together with (or without) extra parts. You could easily have replaced your pipe setup and it would possibly have been more sturdy as well. You should check it out (a quick google on 'rexroth profiles' will show you what you need).

And back to the coffee thing... I personally don't like coffee, but it is about time Phoronix got a coffee'o'meter. It would be great fun (or very scary perhaps).

The dark finish does not look that great imo. Lighter colours would make the room appear much friendlier and more spacious.

Cool. Kind of reminds me of Singer sewing machine tables with the wood and black cast metal frame.

Did you set it to be standard desk height, or typing height? I had had some custom office furniture made for me many years ago that is typing height.

Wife wanted the colors that were there.

10 cups of decaf coffee a day, ~1 cup of non-decaf a day if I'm lucky. Wife usually doesn't let me have non-decaf coffee these days due to my blood pressure and doctor's orders...But sleep ~6 hours a day if I'm lucky.

Ever heard of Synergy Michael? I think you need it, like kinda bad. I have a dual system setup with one monitor and keyboard and mouse setup, and it worked mostly like a charm. Great opportunity to have just one fancypants RGB LED yolo mechanical keyboard, and 3 computers you can just switch between by either pressing a button or flicking your mouse between the screens.

See my earlier comment in this thread when someone else tried to recommend it... Doesn't sound like it'd work at all for my purposes.
