How do I get a https connection?
    HTTPS Everywhere is installed.

I cleared the browser cache and still get the vBulletin favicon instead of the phoronix.

      Edit:
phoronix.com is whitelisted in Adblock Plus.

I experimentally enforced https for all content on www.phoronix.com with NoScript. It actually works but unfortunately I can't login with this setting. The login page https://www.phoronix.com/forums/auth/login-form of all things redirects you to http (which doesn't load with the https enforcement enabled). So the password is probably still sent unencrypted. Also, the navigation buttons to go to next/previous/nth page no longer work with https enforcement.

Opera/Firefox says https then gets a 307 (internal redirect) to http, the end.

          So how to https?

Now IPv6 too and you're technical up to today's standards.
Keep up the good work Michael and don't hesitate to ask for help! That's one way for us to appreciate your work and help you in return!

So the intended behaviour is showing no favicon at all? Because this is what I am seeing right now.

You are seeing no favicon in Chrome?
Because when I cleared the cache I still see the vBulletin favicon.

                  No, that's in Firefox.

I can confirm: vBulletin icon in Opera and no icon in Firefox.

Google Chrome Version 50.0.2645.4 dev (64-bit) -- Phoronix.com favicon on the homepage and no favicon on the forum; both checked after clearing cache and hard refreshing (CTRL+SHIFT+R in Chrome).
