Post Moderation

Why are some of my posts pending moderation and others are not? It's also quite frustrating since I can't tell if my post was actually sent or not.

Like this, which created an entirely new topic, isn't pending moderation. What gives?

The new forum software.... vBulletin 4 to vBulletin 5 represents a rather sad progression of forum software. Sadly, not many other viable alternatives exist for being able to easily manage/import the existing data.

IOW the updated forum software seems to randomly select posts for moderation. About 1 in 5 of my posts were getting moderated for a little while, but it seems to have stopped. Hopefully will stop for you after a while as well.

Yep, I was a little taken aback by this. Seems a bit unnecessary on a Linux forum, it's not exactly IGN around here.

AFAIK it's a bug, not a feature.
