Phoronix: Phoronix Turns 11 Years Old Next Week: How Should We Celebrate?

Phoronix.com is turning eleven years old next week! Help plan some exciting content for the Phoronix birthday. Last year was a 60+ graphics card comparison under Linux with open-source drivers, but how can this year be even better?..

Phoronix, Linux Hardware Reviews, Linux hardware benchmarks, Linux server benchmarks, Linux benchmarking, Desktop Linux, Linux performance, Open Source graphics, Linux How To, Ubuntu benchmarks, Ubuntu hardware, Phoronix Test Suite

Celebrate by making a "11 years ago vs now" article. The content can be whatever, state of linux, a really unfair hardware banchmark competition or whatever you think can be interesting or funny.

I recommend show key improvements/milestones, like when RadeonSI got power management and suddenly all South Islands card get better results then R600, when Marek Ol??k find out the not all the parts of the GPU were active/whatever and he fixed that and suddenly RadeonSI got a big jump in performance.

Those key improvements, to show how the open-source display drivers have improved over time

Get some 11 year old hardware, stuff you would have covered in the beginning, put the latest Linux on it, as optimally as possible, and benchmark it. Then autograph it and give it away.
