    * articles that explain things and shed light upon development, tech stuff or "political" things
    * iirc. some kind of Kabini notebook test was planned
    * the usual coverage of hardware stuff that you run in linux
    * maybe add a few other things like NICs/WLAN chips, storage chips or something. Phoronix is very focused on pure benchmarking, but if something runs at all would be interesting, too. E.g. silly chips from Broadcomm or Marvell.
    * maybe do some interviews with devs of games, freedom software (drivers, applications, games, kernel) or other interesting people from time to time (e.g. Gabe Newell, agd5f, Linus,... if you happen to meet them
    * the Novena laptop!!!111

    * Gentoo
    Stop TCPA, stupid software patents and corrupt politicians!

        Benchmarks of kernel 3.13 with and without bfq and bfs (or: are these patchsets still needed with 3.13 ?), and an update about the current regression.

            Copy and paste time again.....

            Phoronix does not benchmark <insert game here> because it does not have a benchmark mode for Linux or has a benchmark that is hard to automate.

            These common tests use the following opengl levels.

            Unigine requires openGL 3.2 (and higher if available by the driver)
            Xonotic openGL 2.0
            Open Arena openGL ES

            As you can see, they cover a selection of the openGL feature set. Performance improvements detected by these benchmarks are likely to indicate improvements in other games using the same opengl level.

            If you want things to change. Please kindly ask game/benchmark developers to create a benchmark of their game engine that can be launched from the command line. Preferably one that is self contained so it can easily be transferred to the test machines.

              Less Ubuntu. I'm starting to really hate it

                More on topic

                I like the open source graphic driver progress reports. Open source vs. binary and linux vs windows.
                I also like the news about performance improvements.

                The one thing that I wish for is that you could put a link to guides on how to do whatever you're article is talking about. For example, on open source drivers, have a link to the ppa page for x updates. If you are trying out some config file options, have a link to a page that describes how to enable the option.

                    Same as this post. Other things.

                    Some exclusive interviews will result increase the popularity of this site. Maybe even interviews with open source developers working for different companies. You could ask questions about the development process, etc... It should be fun.

                    Less hate and more impartiality in the articles when it comes to politics in open source. Remember that you have great power over the Linux nerds, so what you say and do they repeat. Not good.

                    Better troll control in the forums. Often it's impossible to read the comments from the rivers of hate and misery flowing towards other people and entities.

                      I'll alter that by saying "no more political stuff"(its garbage, YOUR NOT FOX NEWS MICHAEL! DON'T ACT LIKE THEM!), but the remainders are great ideas.
