That should work I believe. Any recommended place within the restaurant where any Phoronix readers should meet or other details? I'll then make an announcement on Phoronix about these tentative plans.

I have made a reservation for ten at Lekter'n. Attenders can ask the waiter for reserved table in the name of Michael Larabel. The table(s) is reserved from five, but early arrivers should have no problem finding table as long as they arrive after the lunch rush (i.e. after two o'clock). Weather forecast is perfect for Friday with a sunny 26 degrees Celsius.

I am awaiting confirmation of the table reservation, and will post when it arrives.

Update, Lekter'n actually has over a thousand seats, and only do reservations for party of thirty or more. We will have no problem finding adequate seating without reservation though.

Hence, to make it easy for arrivers to find the correct table I suggest we inform those waiting tables close to the entrance where we are sitting, and ask them to relay the information to any visitors seeking Michael Larabel. Then it will not be necessary to change the announcement. As an additional measure I can make a reservation note with your name on the table, maybe keep an open laptop visible on the table (running linux of course), and choose a table close to the entrance. I expect to be there five sharp latest, so anybody arriving at five will not need to consume the first beer alone

I am not sure about the wifi conditions, so I will bring my Android phone with tethering.

Sounds good. Thanks a lot for the organization help.

I'll try to be there shortly before 5. I'll also try to remember to make a Phoronix sign before leaving.

I also received an email from another person who's also passed on word to his Linux user's group or whatever the group of Linux users he knows fom Oslo.

I scouted out Lekter'n today... Looks nice place sans the beer meny and its prices, but there's also WiFi that might be tappable from Lekter'n itself. When standing on the dock in front of Lekter'n I'm able to get onto free WiFi, courtesy of a McDonalds hotspot across the street.
