  • Phoronix emails rejected due to Sender domain not existing

I had forgotten my phoronix password so I clicked "forget password" and I never got an email. My postfix server rejected the email:

    Feb 09 09:33:49 postfix/smtpd[2685]: connect from[]
Feb 09 09:33:50 postfix/smtpd[2685]: Anonymous TLS connection established from[]: TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)
    Feb 09 09:33:50 postfix/smtpd[2685]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from[]: 450 4.1.8 <[email protected]>: Sender address rejected: Domain not found; from=<[email protected]> to=<[email protected]> proto=ESMTP helo=<>
    Feb 09 09:33:50 postfix/smtpd[2685]: disconnect from[] ehlo=2 starttls=1 mail=1 rcpt=0/1 data=0/1 quit=1 commands=5/7

I had to turn off smtpd_recipient_restrictions option reject_unknown_sender_domain in order to get the email.

Same here, I white-listed the domain now. But this indicates an error in the DNS settings for the Phoronix mail server because is an unknown DNS address. Michael should fix his DNS settings here.
