    Thanks for the Arch Tweaks

    I've just about entirely switched from Ubuntu/Debian to Arch. I appreciate the work to make PTS work well on Arch.

        It's not a matter of just Arch's PHP but in dealing with Pacman and other system level things too... The only PHP difference with Arch is its very restrictive open_basedir setting that's enabled by default and providing a nicer error message for users who haven't edited it.

            Sounds like it's an upstream problem with missing some header files. Do other tests work for you?

                confusing open_basedir

                Hi,

                I'm trying to launch PTS on Arch.
                During the pacman installation it tells me to add / to php.ini :
                open_basedir = /srv/http/:/home/:/tmp/:/usr/share/pear/:/usr/share/webapps/:/

                Then when I try to launch some tests I've got these messages :
                [NOTICE] curl_setopt(): CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when an open_basedir is set in pts_network:102

                And the tests fail...

                Any idea how to fix this ?

                thanks

                  You could just comment out the open_basedir line in the php.ini, that's generally what I do.

                    Thanks ! Works just fine !
                    If you have 5 mins to spare to explain what is "open_basedir" about, it would great ( I'll google it, but sometimes a few words from an expert are better.and faster...)

                    FYI I have this issue :
                    pts/tiobench-1.1.0:
