  • Merging tests results from different PTS version

    Dear Support,

We are using PTS v4.4.1 and executed several tests on our custom design and we have results as well. We have gathered few results for those tests form openbenchmarking.org for other similar platforms.

Now we want merge our results and web results for comparison. But due to PTS version mismatch (ours is 4.4.1 and web results we downloaded used v4.8), PTS throws error and does not merge the results.

Is there a way to tell PTS to ignore this and merge forcefully? Please suggest the best possible solution to merge results.

    Regards,
    Dipen Patel

It doesn't matter what version of the PTS client itself is but rather the versions of the tests themselves. As long as its PTS3 or PTS4 the tests should merge fine as long as the actual test versions are the same, e.g. apache-1.1 benchmark won't work with apache-1.2 as it could be a different version of Apache, other test changes made, etc. So it's really not supported to merge such versions together beyond manually editing the ~/.phoronix-test-suite/test-results/ XML.

      Understood. Thanks Michael for clarification.
