Because installing etc.. all the stuff is quite annoying just for a few tests.
Was having "Live" in the title not clear enough?

It just hit me that this is a "live" distribution, which makes it *very* useful indeed. Thanks for all the hard work that went into this.

It's already done through the reference system comparison functionality, just not with some base index.

This has long been done through Phoronix Global...

Since all hardware getting out in the futur will be 64bitz capable so distributions as windows and mac should go to 64bit versions only.

This would solve lots of problems with drivers and would force the migration.

May provide some benchmarks of comparing live vs. disk in the coming days.

Once the system is loaded, everything is on ram so normaly no, if things are done correctly being on a CD or HD doesn't matter, but I don't know how they manage to make sql tests etc on the HD

some machine as index and 32bit version too.

32 bit version too would be a great idea.

There are 2 ways actually, small computers for business, and web, and super 64bit computers for hardgamers and miniservers.

Linux is faster in low cost computers, and is less used as desktop system in gamers computers, because Dx is beating Ogl and MS WOS graphic drivers are better than X-Windows ones, even in opengl.
