Most articles mention the patched CVEs, yet I'm wondering about performance benefits. I tried searching openbenchmarking but I'm mostly getting comparisons of kernel compilation times. I must not be searching right.
I recall years ago at kernel 5.4 was announced for 20.04 people were disappointed because a newer version had significant performance benefits.
This is years ago and I don't recall the details.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Does anyone know of some openbenchmarking results comparing kernel 5.4 to kernel 5.15?
