  • Showing test results

I discovered the phoronix test suite recently and like it very much. Someoone worked really hard on it and it shows with so many powerful options.

I'm benching nvme drives on an Asus Z690-E Wifi motherboard using debian bullseye and after running phoronix-test-suite benchmark system/fio, the prompt asked me if I wanted to view the results in the browser and I responded y, the browser didn't open any web page.

I'm not sure how to access the results. I gave them a name see in the .phoronix-test-suite directory there are older test results, but no web page in there. I see a composit.xml file but that is hard to read and doesn't have the results. How can I load the results in the web browser after the test has completed?

Are you running as root or as a different user? That may be why the browser failed to launch.... Easy workaround is editing ~/.phoronix-test-suite/user-config.xml (or /etc/phoronix-test-suite.xml if running as root) and setting the "LimitAccessToLocalHost" value to "FALSE". That way when the PTS client starts up, it will print the URL to use for accessing the result viewer in your browser. That'd be easiest workaround.
