I've been contributing to https://github.com/Maccraft123/Cadmium Linux and we're interested in benchmarking device boots to login and filesystem performance. We were thinking about trying to optimize the boot via F2FS compression but we haven't yet chosen a toolset to analyze changes. Is the phoronix suite appropriate tooling for benchmarking boots and the filesystem performance. If so, can someone help point out the test setup and integration process?
