  • Downloading all test packages

I would like to know if there is a way to download all test packages for Phoronix Server at once in a compressed file. I am trying to setup a server but I have no access at work to get said packages and I need a way to get them all for the server I am setting up. (Work is cheap and does not like to share bandwidth with my department to the point that they blocked my access to openbenchmarking and the phoronix site.) If I can get them at home I can put them on my google drive and install them on my offline server at work. I am not so cheap 1gb/1gb fiber no cap at my house.

    Try

    phoronix-test-suite make-openbenchmarking-cache

phoronix-test-suite make-download-cache pts/all (or all the tests you care about)

And pay attention to output or documentation to know what directories to backup/transfer. Those two commands together can satisfy your use-case.

I would love to do that but I do not have Phoronix on my home machine. I was looking for more of a pre-created archive. Thank you for the information.

In terms of a single download, unfortunately no. It would be over 60GB+ and for most users they only run a small fraction of all the available tests, not to mention bandwidth issues, licensing on some tests, etc.

I figured as much. Thanks for trying to help. I guess I will be setting up Phoronix on my system this weekend and getting the packages I need. Thanks again.

Installing PTS can be as easy as:

apt get install php-cli php-xml (or equivalent depending upon your distribution)
            git clone https://github.com/phoronix-test-sui...nix-test-suite
            cd phoronix-test-suite
            ./phoronix-test-suite <commands>

without having to install PTS itself system-wide or other complicated build/setup steps, FYI.
