  • Contributing a new test

    Hi,

I've found the relevant information to have a first test that I can run locally. I now want to share this - in fact suggest it for inclusion in PTS suites, but I cannot find any way to do this.

I signed up on OpenBenchmarking.org, but do not see any option to upload a test.

    Thanks,
    Neale

Hi nealeu, you can upload tests to your Openbenchmarking.org account from the PTS client by running:

    phoronix-test-suite openbenchmarking-setup
    phoronix-test-suite upload-test-profile <name of test profile>

Or to submit for inclusion to the default list of test profiles, you can submit it via GitHub: https://github.com/phoronix-test-suite/test-profiles

    Thanks!

      Thanks Michael,

I read "A read-only Git copy of the OpenBenchmarking.org test profiles. " as meaning that Openbenchmarking.org was the "source of truth". I'll raise a pull request as I'd love to see it included in the PTS suite, and you can feed back any issues in the PR.

      Cheers,
      Neale

Right, I honor pull requests from there but in reality I am pulling it in through PTS and then to OpenBenchmarking.org to actually get it available to users.
