Interestingly half the time i didn't know exactly what i was eating but i must say i had some of the best food I've ever had traveling. The only thing that needed work was the pizza.

Also abacaxi is pronounced ah-ba-ca-shee ... Most Americans would probably misspronounce that unless told otherwise.
One pizza guy even named a pizza after my dad.... The Kipp pizza! Basically a xlarge pizza with more than you can imagine on it....
I miss the Pao de Sal so bad it isn't even funny... Especially ham + mozzarella toasted on a Pao de Sal.

Now that you all said, I did some google and really the word ananas means pineapple in several languages, with have it in portuguese too, "ananás", but it is so uncommon to hear like someone using the word "felicity" instead of "happiness"
Like M@Goid said, we call it "abacaxi"
In Brazil, we think that USA's pizza and hot-dog are the strange ones, one is a round disc covered with sauce and molten cheese and pepperoni, and the other is just a bread with sausage haha

If the OS will become half as good as the dev's taste in music, it'll be the best OS ever! https://rink.nu/music.html

Pronunciation by Clador06 is closest to Polish yet s is really short.
Same for other things many people are mispronouncing:
Mate: https://forvo.com/word/es/mate/
Antergos: https://forvo.com/search/antergos/
