    But yeah APU link is lacking there , they should put something like this too:



    You see there Trinity GPU TeraScale 3 (VLIW4) while newest has Third Gen GCN... so recently released desktop APU parts for example are Carrizo core, etc...

        Cheers. It's quite a mess too though in terms of finding out the information I'm looking for. What would be nice is having a box where you put in your official chipset (e.g. "R9 280") and it tells you what you need to know. At least now I know that Trinity is using r600 rather than RadeonSI despite being a 7xxx series chipset.

          It doesn't tell which chip the card has, but it does tell which drivers it uses.

            Cool. Too bad my Trinity chipset (HD 7660D) doesn't come up. Thanks though!

              Trinity is VLIW4, so would use radeon kernel driver and r600 mesa driver.
