Well, the GP100 has been seen. It's just squarely aimed at professional use. Anandtech explains why GP100 wouldn't work too well as a gamer's card. It's about SM size and the number of FP units included.

Esp. as it does not have HBM2, which might enable the massive throughput you might want to have. You either get the GP100 for real scientific stuff (and then also have the money to back it up) or you want to play games - where you are better off with... lets say 2x1080? Can someone explain this product to me?
Don't sweat, this card probably has 0 video outputs.

If fanboys thought the same way you do, then nvidia would have not be making so much money. I am not trying to be biased here, windows nvidia titan users are some of the most stupid people I have ever seen. The people I see living in the street have a lot more insight into technology than the nvidia youngsters and grownups that buy and review (multi) titan setups for casual gaming. I personally know a few people who do this, they literally don't to know the difference between MB and GB.

The only reason that I can think of for releasing this besides the two reasons you've mentioned is just for people to be able to upgrade their over priced titan to newer better version in order to stay cool at school. Seriously though, I too would like to know what you're asking. I can only think that it's just marketing thing.

Intel iGPUs have like nothing to do with midrange graphics cards (what he was talking about)... at all.

          Troll fail detected.

Okay, seems like I wasn't that far off with my tummy-feeling about the usefulness of this product. Thanks for double-backing my suspicion everyone.
Now, lets wait for the RX 490X to compare those high-end things with each other.

I would just add that if all those people you talk about were as stupid as you say, they probably wouldn't have the cash to buy Titans in the first place.
Ferraris don't offer the same performance/price ratio as a family sedan, do you also think whoever buys a Ferrari is clueless? I'm not arguing that there aren't people with more money than brains, I'm just saying your sample is not big enough for you to generalize.

For the record, I've stated before that I don't spend more than $300 on a video card, so I don't really care whether Titans are sold for $500 or $50,000, but I don't have a problem with people buying them.

You are assuming that they were the ones that made that money, and not just offspring-of/married-to high-income person(s), and even then, to be paid high-money you need to be good at a specialistic skillset, not necessarily be a person with a working brain in day-to-day life.

There are large amount of rich dumbfucks that buy ridicolously overpriced shit just because they can, Titan X are aimed to them because Nvidia is in the market to make money so why the fuck not?

I mean, go look up Vertu smartphone manufacturer, hardware that does not go terribly better than a high-end phone and isn't much cooler to look at but have random luxury stuff attached and costs 5000+ $.

Please don't compare sports cars with utility cars. A ferrari is a total shit day-to-day family utility vehicle just as the family sedan sucks as a sports car, but this tells us nothing of either.

That is not trollism, he talked about *wait a few generations* before picking same perf midrange gpu... so point is that if he wanna wait that long, he can wait even longer

And this product is for people who want it, need it, of course have money and can't wait
