Correction: Klipper has allowed QR code generation for a while now. The new feature is you can drag the generated image to anywhere images can normally be dragged.

We keep seeing all this updates regarding Plasma 6, which is great, it appears that real progress is being made. Yet, at the same time there still is no schedule or target dates. It would be a good thing to have some sort of idea when this is estimated to arrive.

I feel like that's the opposite of what you want. Release it when it's actually ready, not a previously stated arbitrary date of when you thought it would be ready.

No, it's for planning purposes. Fedora has announced that when Plasma 6 arrives, X11 support will be discontinued. It would be advantageous to understand approximately when that will occur.

Sorry to be blunt, but it is not the task of DE devs to satisfy distributions' release planners. Preferring a later, but less rough release.

That statement doesn't make any sense. A release schedule is standard practice. If you are doing a project, you have project management, a release schedule is part of that. If you aren't managing a project, especially one with the size and scope of a new plasma release, that will negatively impact release quality. You need target dates or nothing will ever get done. If you encounter unforeseen issues and the project isn't ready, you slip the schedule.

                    From KDE:

There's currently no schedule for Plasma 6, but it will be added as soon as possible.
                    Is KDE using Qt 6?

No, but 332 out of 658 projects already build against Qt6.
