Just a warning, but it looks like the IBT support issue will take a while to fix. The devs won't give an estimate, which usually means it's at least months away. Thus ibt=off will remain a thing for a while.

Edit: Problem was fixed in he open driver (bug closed: https://github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-k...les/issues/256), but it will still take months for that fix to make its way into the closed one.

Hey. maybe I'll get some more performance on my laptop now! (Asus G14, 5900HS + 3060)

I mean I'm still jumping to NVK the moment it's viable but in the mean time might as well get all the improvements I can.

NVK/Vulkan/OGL userspace driver has zero relevancy/link to Dynamic Boost.

So what you say as "i mean" makes no sense.

Just installed it on Kubuntu 22.10 running 6.0.7 kernel. Seems to be working fine for all the things I do

"AMD Rembrandt or newer" i don't think you get any performance gain

i've got this working on r7 5800h, cpufreq/amd_pstate... +10W boost... I'm cuorius why it works.

Banding issue vs. 516 branch is not fixed. Apparently it is caused by using a custom EDID in Xorg config...
Oh, and also still no VRR support for open kernel driver.

So good to see NVIDIA improve the open source driver ! Do any of these changes help with getting the kernel driver mainstreamed ?
