Gotta love the user experience of driver management on desktop Linux in late 2019 – it's either part of the ISO or have fun with the terminal.

Often many Ubuntu releases have the ISO image update 3-5 times.

AMD really disappointed us with their software support.
Canonical also, with focusing bringing support for the shittiest company (Nvidia) instead of focusing on AMD and Intel support.

This really should have been avoided by Canonical. But thankfully the days are gone where this would be a deal breaker. Nowadays, they can re-up a fixed ISO and get over this oversight quickly.

It is not easy to use the terminal. Nobody (as in the Average Joes) wants to open a terminal just to get their card to work.

Using the terminal (or pretty much any command-line interface) requires an higher-than-average understanding of a computer. They just want to get their work done, not spend a week on learning how to use a terminal.
