Some pages may have tabs for Coreboot major versions since some boards were dropped from support in newer versions (*sigh*).
Well, it still is a rather small number compared to all available boards. Sometimes one might get lucky and have some very similar boards and Coreboot might just run, but ymmv I guess.

Still better add some old board than nothing at all, but I'd really wish we had more support (esp. also on the AMD side) for recent CPUs/APUs, boards and the likes - best would be preinstalled by the vendor.

There are some socket 775 boards that used DDR3 too. Some even had dual sockets (2 DDR2 and 2 DDR3, you can use only one type of RAM at the same time for obvious reasons).

Hmm. Somehow I was under the impression that DDR3 was a post-LGA775 thing. Well, I'm glad I learned something new!

I still have a Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R LGA775 motherboard which has two DDR3 sockets and four DDR2 sockets.

Not sure who using a crusty old desktop board like this anymore still. But I am very thankful for the Coreboot project. I have my chromebook flashed with Coreboot allowing it run Fedora 27 natively.

A Core 2 Quad is still a very decent CPU, and paired with even a SATA2 SSD and a small modern graphics card it makes for a very useful system.

I do understand your sentiment, I'm way more excited about modern Chromebooks or the HP Elitebook 8770w running Coreboot.
