Uhm... "student" is not a gender/sex/race/religion, and is a way to ensure that the money only goes to a person that needs to practice their new skills on something, which is more about merit.

Whites privileges are myths and legends. Well, maybe except for those who live in a [political correct] bubble.

Integration does not happen unless you actually integrate, doing your "minority-only job with blackjacks and hookers" is still segregation and still wrong.
You may have checked the fact but apparently chose to ignore them afterwards. Outreachy has quite a lot of success stories of bringing more diversity to long term contributors. People start with Outreachy projects and then stay in the respective communities the projects were done for. So no, there's no segregation. Yes, there's a lot of integration and yes it clearly shows long term benefits. It is in fact a proven system.

Why you chose to ignore these facts is a different topic. But from the language you use to describe Outreachy's target audience, it's somewhat clear that you do not actually want any diversity or integration to happen.

"Diversity" You only want diversity of thought not skin color. This has absolutely nothing to do with diversity of thought you racist

OK, but the tiki torch is real. Hold it high and proud.

Mean time I'm relaying the Outreachy information to my daughters and their friends because the myths and legends somehow miss passing down regular opportunities to their female grad students.

Most contributers are paid for their work, just check the git commits and the domains of the emails contributing

Subsidizing progress on bringing in minorities is a prerogative of whoever is funding these programs, I'm not one to judge here.

Won't go into the whole discussion on free markets, but I mostly agree with Noam Chomsky here .
What makes you believe you are a good person while you agree that discrimination is good? How can you step so high above those being discriminated?

($5500+$500)/3=$2000/monthly. Junior developer $800-$1200/monthly. Senior developers salary $2000, only selection based on meritocracy and years of experience. And not sex, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity or other false criteria to trick competition.

There are countless way to start a business or to self finance, not begging Google (or someone else) money. Injecting money can create artificial problems more problems than it solves. Better to grow on natural ways
