Ughh, do not want. Feels good to be on Gentoo with OpenRC. SystemD has fragmented open source world and crippled Debian. Each systemd version has some major breakages.

I really enjoy how flawless systemd works on all my machines and across distributions. It made everything so much simpler to maintain, I don't have to wonder anymore about distribution specific tools and commands.

The next big standardization project should be package managers :-)

I always wondered why people who dislike systemd call it SystemD.

That would be really great (for programmers and maintainers).

Because there is a direct link between ignorance and systemd hate.

A few standard interfaces for update/install/uninstall/etc... that package managers can implement would be even better.

Feels good being on Gentoo using systemd too

As more and more distros use systemd the open source world becomes less fragmented, one set of utilities to configure a machine no matter which distro you use

Also not noticed those major breakages you mentioned, maybe our systemd maintainers are patching out all the brokenness
