I see BitSavers have put a bunch of docs online from Go Corp. This was a company from around 1990 that came out with PenPoint, which was a new operating system centred around pen input. They managed to pick up quite a lot of media buzz, to the point where Microsoft obviously saw them as a danger. So Bill Gates announced “Windows for Pen”, which was going to be a version of their OS optimized for pen use. As far as I know, this was complete vapourware—no such product ever shipped. But as a FUD weapon, it was completely effective. Potential customers shunned Go Corp, and so PenPoint died.
