Phoronix: HTTP-SS: "A New Faster Internet Protocol"

A German company is promising a new protocol dubbed "HTTP-SS" that "should be able to double Internet speed, decrease data volume almost by 90% and get rid of the other general issues" compared to HTTP/HTTPS, at least that's what they claim...

Why the hell would you release a closed network protocol in this day and age? Who would use it?

Dedicated applications, (on both client and server) probably.

They ditch the browser and make their own browser application (likely some kind of fork of Chromium with this new protocol hacked in).

Or maybe a plugin of some kind.

          It has its niche uses.

Not the brightest choice for a German company to name a protocol something with "SS"...

They could've made a JS library utilizing websockets for transmitting page deltas that is compatible with current browsers (and sell that). Probably better than inventing a new proprietary protocol that is incompatible with everything existing and probably won't be used by nobody.

Btw, maybe it's about time to give up connecting Germans to WW2 "war guilt" in every conceivable way..? War was way back and none of the current generation had any hand on it. Might as well accuse Italians for atrocities Roman legions committed.

                  Btw, it's also serious hypocrisy.

WW2 started on September 1 1939 with the Nazis attack on Poland. On September 17th 1939, Soviet army invaded Poland per secret agreements with it's ally Third Reich from the other side of Poland.
So, it had two countries really starting the World War 2. Can't see anyone doing a burp on dudes posing with scythes/hammers, Stalin pictures etc.. It does not matter that allies-of-the-time turned of each-other some time later. Loser lost and is now "politically incorrect", Soviet shit which killed more people is on the other hand "fully okay". At least that much self-honesty should be present in person.
