  • How to get NVIDIA Encoder running on Ubuntu 16.04?

    I have a NVIDIA Quadro K620 running on a machine with Ubuntu 16.04 (64bit).
According to this website from NVIDIA (https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-video-codec-sdk) I need only to download the video SDK, from this link (https://developer.nvidia.com/video-sdk-601), however, there are only doc and Samples folder, but no libraries for encoding, and the samples don't build.
I'm using NVIDIA driver version 361.42, which is the recommended by Ubuntu 16.04.

Do someone have had any success trying that?
NVENC SDK, which used to be a separate SDK, is now a part of NVIDIA Video Codec SDK. The NVIDIA Video Codec SDK is a complete set of high-performance NVIDIA Video Codecs tools, samples and documentation for hardware encode API (NVENC API) and hardware decode API (NVCUVID API) on Windows and Linux OS platforms.
