Carrizo is design for a low power fab process. It does not make sense on the desktop. However I understand that Godaveri is not a very interesting apu because it's a refresh of Kaveri. But from an engineering prospective it is much better to focus the resources on the future 14/16 nm processing.

Carrizo has a newer generation x86 core than Kaveri. Anyway current Kaveri is suffering from the shared TDP envelope for CPU+GPU. Basically the CPU part throttles too much when GPU is at full swing. If they manage to lower the power requirements on the CPU core and make it throttle less while running full power (CPU+GPU) then the overall performance will increase.

I was very much into Kaveri when it released, but tests convinced me otherwise. There are too many compromises still.

Currently I am dreaming about an 8core CPU, 800-1024 shader core GPU, 2-4 GB HBM (GPU buffer) and external DDR3/4 memory bus APU :-) Even if it eats 125-140W at peak power. Still better than what I have now. I hope I won't have to wait long :-]]

3 more have already released in my country(Bangladesh, probably China/India released version). Might be on way for US in October.

You will wait long, because AMD doesn't have 8-core APUs on their public roadmaps. Only up to 4-core APUs, or 8-core CPUs without integrated graphics. The only product that comes close to what you want is the PlayStation 4, but that is not useful for general purpose computing.

GTX 750 and 950 are much faster in games than Kaveri GPU. These discrete GPUs will most likely be much faster than Zen GPU as well.
