EDIT: The point that I'm trying to make is that it gets in-grained in children so much so that by the time they become teenagers the status quo is already set.You don't see young children dropping out of school, but you do see teenagers doing it, and the very simple reason why is because education and opportunity is afforded more to white people than for anyone else. It doesn't take much for a teenager to realize that what they are attempting at school is all in vain. That's why minority drop out rates are so much higher.
