Interstellar Marines On Linux With Catalyst: Bull S*#@
Hey everyone, It's Calexil(The angry dude in the video)
wow, this kinda blew up. I didn't expect Michael to even post my video.
Here is some answers to your questions:
Compositing? no, raw marco/x, no effects
tear-free? yes but only enabled for display. off unless forced on by app in 3d settings
am I a dungeon monster? maybe
cpu-freq? It was on ondemand in the video and I have found it basically does very little when forcing it to performance mode with THIS game, but I can have a drastic effect on others
windowed? yeah, thats the only way I can capture gameplay correctly with my avconv GUI, not sure why but fullscreen is black
That picture is really old... I wish google would let it die already.
Few days ago, I play few hours in Interstellar Marines on my Linux PC.
I use Radeon HD 5850 with Catalyst 14.12 Omega and performance with fullscreen and max graphics options is fine for me
hmm, It might be something with mint then. I honestly have no idea.
Unity has terrible performance on windows, too. I have never played a Unity game that ran for crap, and I can't even run Unty 4 games at all.
There are slow Unity games and smooth ones. When you look at the Apitrace trace dump output from them, I think you can see which games' developers have more 3D development experience. :-)
