Sun's star office -> open office, but asking sun probably won't work out anymore.

    IDEA - Java IDE
    Pycharms - Python IDE
I think they both started out closed source and received a "community edition" later on.

          try sel4.systems
but they open sourced quite recently

Also if they don't respond maybe something in your contacting strategy is not working, try to be more explicit... or less, depending on what you did earlier.

PS we know your master is Microsoft anyway.

I don't think that company exists ... closed and opensource model are always matter of preferability, so it is more question how much one company have open model and how much is not an open model

You asked about companies (and not non-profitable organizations or such) so i guess that is more or less an answer

IntelliJ was and is proprietary. They have community edition, but that has nothing to do with being open source.

Vaadin was, and still is open source.

community edition use Apache 2.0 licence.

IT Mill Toolkit have already used proprietary client
