    Linus is back on GNOME

And gnome3 has been improving. I complain, and I think extensions were badly done in some ways, and I think a lot of gnome people are in denial. But I'm actually back to gnome3 because with the right extensions it is more pleasant.

    Frippery + gnome-tweak-tool really make a huge difference. I don't understand why gnome3 hasn't just merged them.

And it looks like some of his complaints will get fixed by 3.8.

The correct answer, of course, is that KDE can be extended to provide window tiling.

KDE had tiling introduced with KDE 4.5, no extension needed, officially supported by KDE. But who cares, If I want tiling (which I do) I use a tiling WM, they are specialized to do that and therefore do it better.
But anyways, Linus is (actually: was) a kernel developer, so how comes that people give any weight to what he thinks about desktops? Would you give a f*** what your janitor thinks about interior design? Those are totally different fields and I can't see any expertise for Linus in the field of DEs, so who cares what he is using? I still doubt that anyone here use uemacs, just because he does and I see no one switching to Fedora just because Linus does use it.

By the way, I am neither using a retarded phone UI nor a Windows style UI, so you can save yourself some time with the inevitably following "You are to stupid to learn the new things!!!111!!! Welcome to 2013!!!!1111!!!111".
You fail to understand the logic: When Linus decides to try a new DE there will be blood. The left out DE is DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMed. At least if it is gnome. And yeah Canonical left gnome-shell because it was DOOOOOOOOOOMed and not because Canonical is making a billion excuses to start new stuff where they can dictate and use CLA.

Some might call it getting biased, going hyperbole or extrapolate, other just call it was it is: Stupid trash talk on forums for the lesser. But who cares anyway? Linus uses gnome and now all the cool kids does as well.
