    STF

    The only critic I have?
Much less should be spend for proprietary software and much more for STF.

Every cent for proprietary software is lost an usually used harmful against their users.
Every cent for open-source improves self-reliance and self-sufficiency.

I would love to see a extension of supported projects.

Yes but they sent money to gnome instead of kde which is catastrophic failure

Certainly not on paying devs to work on GTK's cross-platform compatibiity, an area that GTK4 is direly in need of:

I'm always flabbergasted at people coming over and a) thinking GTK is a crossplatform toolkit and b) thinking they can consider GTK as a blackbox
GTK is a Linux-first, portable toolkit
This is from a toolkit that advertises itself as "portable".

Some of the things the EU has been getting up to... I worry they'll need to move onto the onions if they want to keep this up without restriction.

This effort backed by the German government has provided nearly $25 million USD in open-source funding over the past two years. In this time there has been more than 500 submissions proposing over €114 million in work.
Basically less than one quarter of every Euro requested has been granted.

I guess the usual response is: "No soup for you"!

Or maybe it's: "Only a small bowl of soup for you!"

I agree with this, it's not just law enforcement and the intelligence community that data mine public sources, it's literally everyone that wants to sell you something.

Both of them which makes awesome open source projects!
Are you sure either organization applied for any of the open categories?

Without such an application is it more as if they have avoided getting funded

S/he hijacked using edgy topic as sarcasm to avoid monotonous topic. Because s/he knows certain loud group, would whine, or kids would call it "copemaxxing"
