microsoft then started to go agaist w10privacy because it hurts there money income by disabling Ad's in the explorer and start menue.

first it was just a warning in the moment people installed it.. this warning then developped into a block and people can only bypass it by clicking on "more information" and then click on ignore the warning.

but this did also not stop enough users and the newest escalation to this is that the microsoft defender now gives a false positive and removes the installed w10privacy.exe from the harddrive and even if you disable windows defender this still happens and only if you go into the log of the windows defender you can click on action and then restore the file

but this is not all if you start it it gives another warning and if you start it as user it does not work no matter what option you set and of course you need to use it as administrator.

this is all a farce and shows that microsoft fights freedom and privacy with all measures.

    microsoft windows is a scam
more likely is that either w10privacy changed something or Microsoft added better heuristics in Defender. The heuristics used here seems to be detecting DLL injection and perhaps that is something that w10privacy needs to do what it does. W10privacy have so few users that they are probably not even on Microsofts radar.

You are using things from 25 years ago as arguments. Don't you have anything newer?

They where 100% patched with all the existing patches at the time. The context was that a plain install of Windows cannot ever be attacked, so now the claim is only for modern Windows? To what will you shift the goal posts the next time because there are ofc compromised installs of a base W10/11 with the latest patches applied, you do know that 0-days exists yes?

according to the developers it does not do DLL injection instead it just edit the windows registry you could to the same with regedit manually.

other tools like CCleaner do the same edit of the windows registry

What the hell are you talking about? As someone working on a crossplatform toolkit, we keep having to hire new macOS developers becaue they all within a few years become Linux developers, because macOS is utter shit.

writing to registry keys that are not your own could also be part of the heuristic, hard to be certain since MS is for obvious reasons not open with exactly which heuristics they use (DLL injection is definitely there though which is why I mentioned it).

You have less control over who creates open source and oversees it. So in addition to the NSA, government hacking groups from various countries as well as private hacking groups that make money from vulnerabilities are interested in this topic.

As there are no Linux developers in the market you have to hire macOS develoers and convert them. You confirm that Linux is a total niche without developers.

And I wrote about typical backed/fronted development - not system dependent development. I work in a large company and lots of developers working on Linux have converted to MacOS. Even some working on Windows have switched to macOS.

I'm not fond of macOS either, but these are facts.
