Github does this all the time. They have scripts that run in search of violations of their TOS. The scripts are insanely buggy and don't even properly jive with the actual TOS and documentation about how to do certain things like transition to a new user account. So you submit support ticket to Github, and if you are lucky, within a month they bring you back. At least now they apparently just change it to `public archive`, before they would take down everything repository and org you owned.

So, his employer came under US sanctions, and now a tool used in millions of US servers (including government and intelligence ones) is unmaintained.
I use ipmitool on a daily basis, I wrote probably around a hundred scripts that basically wrap around it. This is going to be interesting.

Well yes, but problem is most of those wars probably would happen regardless of 9/11. 9/11 is one thing but before 9/11 we had iran-iraq war, iraq-kuweit-saudi arabia wars, all israel-surrounding countries wars etc. Lebanon civil war, Yemen and way way more. And those USA was involved heavy actually pale in comparison of casualities to previous wars (especially iraq-iran war).

The most bloody conflict since 9/11 is Syrian war.... that has nothing to do with 9/11 and actually Russia has far bigger involvement then USA.

Interesting how the phrase oft bandied about and also modified is from the "Czar's Soliloquy" by Mark Twain: "[...] loyalty to the Nation ALL the time, loyalty to the Government when it deserves it." https://www.jstor.org/stable/25105366?seq=4

Hmm perhaps supporting islamists in afghanistan because of the soviets wasn't a smart idea after all. But who am I kidding, gullible people like you will gobble anything up if your favorite politicians make enough remarks about patriotism, 9/11 or freedom no matter how nonsensical they are. If you want to refute this why don't you start by explaining how 9/11 somehow justifies the 2003 invasion of iraq? Bush didn't even bother to explain how iraq was responsible for 9/11 or prove that they actually possessed WMDs(Saddam must have hidden them so well that they are still missing after two decades, what a stroke of luck!!). I'm sure the C suite of Raytheon, Lockheed, etc. are very grateful for people like you. Who cares if your soldiers are unnecessarily put in danger and your tax money is used to bomb children in some remote sh*thole because something something 9/11 something something democracy, right my fellow patriots?

I daresay the chap above who squared Alex's name against a sanctioned business might well be the likeliest issue. Purely based off Michaels article for information, it does seem to be he case, and the final bit is with the hosts to clarify, and if allowed, clear, Alex IF he singularly is allowed to participate despite his employers status.

Thankfully, he manages an open source project and it is automatically 'archived' worldwide and easily recoverable.
              Hi

It averaged 1 new commit per month last year, and the code is readily available and easily moved elsewhere. I don't see it being much of an issue for people.

I am pretty confident the post was sarcastic.
