Not sure what any of this has to do with PHP's git server being compromised, but since you brought it up...

When the pimply faced teenagers at Taco Bell fail to cook your lunch properly and you get a surprise case of the sudden shits later, you should never "choose to drive" yourself to the gas station over pooping in the woods you're already standing in. If you make it to the gas station, great, but if you don't, then what are you gonna do??

This isn't about saving time or cost cutting -- it's about being properly prepared for an emergency. It is far more sanitary and safer to poop in the woods (or a suitable bag, pee in a bottle, etc) than unsuccessfully driving to a gas station when duty calls. Prepare yourself in advance for this often unspoken and unfortunate situation. Carry a roll of toilet paper, some water/sanitizer, a bag/bottle/shovel, etc every time you are in a situation that may not have a restroom handy at all times. It's the smart and responsible thing to do.

My hat's off to those brave men and women working through the pandemic at Amazon, especially the ones smart enough to think about these problems in advance and do the right things to keep everything safe and sanitary.

You missed the point. schmidtbag pointed out how it was upsetting that people were attacking Microsoft and git in general, myself included there, and not the piece of shit hacker which, to me, is very similar to the current Amazon situation..

You also missed the point with that, too. That they piss and shit in bottles and bags not because they're having an emergency and have to go NOW, but because Amazon's logistics system for routes doesn't allow for any time variance and that if they take a restroom break they'll get written up and that too many write ups leads to losing their job so the best they can do is pullover and poop up front of our houses. It isn't because they're about to dump themselves, it's because the 15 minutes it'll take to get to a toilet, do their business, and get back on route is enough time wasted for a write up.

Instead of wanting to ensure they, and all of us really, get to work in conditions that consider human bodily functions we're doing the same things in both situations and attacking the effect and not the cause.

Perhaps if someone is consistently slower than another employee, they'll get ranked lower when it comes time for deciding who gets paid more, but that's fair. Someone who can manage to take a dump before their shift begins so they can get more work done during the shift should be paid more -- they're doing more work than the person who takes frequent breaks and gets less work done.

Even if it were truly a problem, who's to blame? Anti-capitalists would like us all to shame Amazon for "poor work conditions." But I'd say it's more a problem of customers' demands.

Signing up for Amazon Prime contractually binds Amazon into attempting next-day delivery service. If customers would stop demanding such fast delivery and just use the slower, free shipping option, Amazon employees would likely have far less pressure put on them to deliver packages so quickly.

The highest profits in the world from exploiting the minimal amount of labor possible is totally the customer's fault? Are you for real? Give me a break. The only ones to blame are the owners and governments that allow working conditions like that. Regardless of the conditions of any place of commerce we're all going to need stuff for reasons....food, work, recreation; doesn't matter. We all need stuff for reasons.

Am I supposed to go to all 3 Krogers, all 5 Walmarts, the 30+ fast food joints, drive 50 miles or so to an Amazon warehouse, etc, etc, etc and make sure everyone has fair working conditions? That's my responsibility as a customer? Be for real. That's the governments job. Save them, a union. Save them, the employees. Sucks that people like you call it fake news and not exploitation of the working class when they go "WTF, we need some help here, y'all".

So you say that it is the customer's fault. What is the customer actually supposed to do? There isn't a single place to shop that isn't guilty because they're all lesser degrees of evil these days. So how is any of it the customer's fault when the customers have no say in how companies are ran and any place they spend their money is guilty? Just recently we plead for the bare minimum of an increase in the minimum wage and that bitch danced and did a thumbs down so what is the customer supposed to do when neither the companies nor government will even budge on the minimum we'd pay you less if we could wage?

I suppose I could go to all those places, but what to you honestly expect me or anyone else to do? Bring back lynch mobs? Yet another gun tragedy? Bombs? Voicing outrage and pleading for change isn't working, so what do you think a customer is supposed to do?

Plus they don't want the rover to stop what it's doing for an hour once or twice a week because Windows keeps on installing the Windows Update version of the AMD graphics driver that crashes stuff over the Catalyst 21.3.x releases that I installed manually and works correctly.

Windows is a try hard. Tries so hard to work correctly that it breaks itself.

What's your Radeon GPU model? My Vega64 is rock solid. Win10, latest updates, apps (Settings excluded) and telemetry stripped out.

RX 580 with a Vega iGPU. Anytime I change GPU configurations from dGPU only to both iGPU and dGPU or whenever Windows updates the system, Windows update automatically changes the driver I installed from AMD's website to one of the one's that Windows Update tries to use which doesn't work for me. HDMI audio quits working at random with the ones MS ships. I'll just be sitting there and no more audio.

Because I'm running the latest Insider builds the driver freezing options don't work long-term because they seem to get reset upon new Windows builds.

I also lose HDMI audio consistently on Windows 10 with any driver when Windows puts any of my HDMI TVs into standby. I have to change to a non-HDMI channel and back for audio to work again. I just get the red X until then.

After installing W10 I always disable automatic driver updates via WU. In same cases Windows insists on installing older drivers even when I've got a newer version installed manually. That's the definition of insanity

I've tried the GPE method but it seems to reset itself between Insider build updates; twice now. Haven't tried the Regedit method so hopefully that one sticks. Thanks.
