now that there is support in developpment for amd raven ridge, and it is supposed to be in intel too.. what about Linux and browser compability with HDCP for seeing films and series in amazon with non-non standard definition? someone knows if there is support inside browsers to support HDCP? is it needed to do something? there is good to support anyways is a bad restriction I think.. many more options to have in linux

Yes, it is supposed to work in conjunction with the DRM inside of Google's Chrome. It will also allow for playback of video optical disc formats like DVD and Blu-Ray, if Cyberlink decides to bring PowerDVD back to Linux.

Firefox uses Google's Widevine CDM, just as Chrome does, so it can work with HDCP in the kernel/drivers. It likely won't ever work as well as Google Chrome does, but the foundation is there nonetheless.
