How can we show demand for it if they remove requests for it???

Edit: they still have the other two, but they aren't nearly as known about:

They've got to be kidding. I think it's more like their PLM & marketing people live under a rock.

But now the horse has fled the barn, & anyone wanting Lightroom on FLOSS OSs has switched to DarkTable:

Here is a short list of highlights where darktable can improve your digital photography processing workflow and help you to make better images with less effort. You can find a more detailed description of every single item in our online user manual. General Features Non-destructive editing throughout the complete workflow, your original images are never modified. Take advantage of the real power of raw: All darktable core functions operate on 4x32-bit floating point pixel buffers, enabling SSE instructions for speedups.

No, that was Macromedia. I take it you weren't around back then judging by your comment. There wasn't an alternative to Flash, it was well ahead of anything else of the time.

It would be could if we could push other companies in the same way. Here is a link to vote for AutoDesk Inventor on linux.
Hello, Maybe it's just too much to ask, but I think Autodesk Inventor for Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu) would be great. Linux is becomming more and more used in a great variety of industries. I always find Linux more stable than windows and considering almost every computer in the world runs window...

I'm happy to report that the poll is back up! A recent post by the Adobe account:

"Hi, a steep increase in upvotes triggered our spam alerts. That is what occurred. We are investigating the cause of such an increase and will respond accordingly after we check everything out. Thanks for understanding. ^KM"

As of this post, the request has been merged into an existing one and has over 5k votes.

Good that the poll is back up. But the statement by that Adobe Product Manager does not seem very... enlightened. Also it contradicts the Adobe statement on Twitter:

So which is it? An alert or a filter? If it was only an alert as the Adobe tweet says, then a human decision to take action or not would have been involved in removing the poll.

That's only part of the truth. In fact the reason is that it got posted in Linux news websites and communities everywhere. And that people were previously unaware about the Adobe Uservoice account.

That is also a non-issue. It would be completely ok if only a single distro and release would be officially supported (e.g. the most recent LTS release of Ubuntu). Leave it to the community to figure out how to make the software run, perhaps in a less optimal way, on other distros.

You are seriously over thinking this.

                    • Random consideration:
                      • Why do many people think obvious using Linux for server purpose while have difficult to think to use Mac or Win for graphics?
                      • Why do many people want Adobe on Linux but not GNU on Windows?
                      • Which is the increased value on having closed software on GNU?
                      • Why do not many people ask for a porting of Adobe on FreeBSD, it makes more sense than Gnu?
                      • Win10 and WSL isn't enough?
                      • Why do not many people ask for a porting of Adobe on ReactOS, it still make more sense than Gnu?
                      • If you are not a professional why don't you spend some time learning FLOSS graphic applications?
                      • IF you are a professional why don't you spend some time learning FLOSS graphic applications?
To finish, stop asking for closed software on GNU!
